What do squirrels eat?

Squirrels will eat anything they like. Seeds, nuts, corn, squirrel mix, etc. My little boy eats rat lab blocks and fresh veggies, he likes apples and strawberries, as well as popcorn. They do not generally make good pets as they are very high-energy, and must have A LOT of out of cage time. Mine likes to hang out on the curtain rods and whistle.
