What is wrong with the squirrels? health question..?

my mom has a bird feeder on our deck. the squirrels usually come up and eat from it. lately i've been noticing that the squirrels are extremely mangy looking. most of them either have bald spots on their back or things that look like abscesses on their spine. i even found a squirrel tail on my deck the other day... are these squirrels diseased? what's wrong with them? What is wrong with the squirrels? health question..?
It sounds like it, if i were you I'd call the CDC.What is wrong with the squirrels? health question..?
Could be a flea infestation or skin disease. Another problem could be what they're getting from the bird food. If it contains corn then they could have a vitamin deficiency. I would switch to seed that contains absolutely no corn. The best kind to get is just all black-oil sunflower seeds as this attracts more native bird species and will still bring your squirrels around if you want them.

If you can, call a wild-life center and talk to them although the squirrels may be killed to prevent spread of disease.
im no expert on squirrels but look at this it looks like they have squirrel pox.

They can easily have an infestation of fleas, that would cause mangy looking sking. Do you have a Wild Life center near you, call them, they will have the correct information for you.
idk but if i was you i would call the wildlife rescue center now
