how do you know they're genetically enhanced? you should go chase them and scare them away and hope they don't come attack you!!
Is it a well-organized army, or a rag-tag army of squirrels? Your best bet would be to put together a make-shift squirrel costume (squirrels are smart, but pretty easy to fool), place a few medals on your chest, and a few stars on your shoulders. Walk out to the army, and announce yourself as a Squirrel General.
