Squirrels in attic?

My work colleague has a squirrel (1 anyway ) in the space between the attic and the roof - that is when you into the attic there is nothing but he hears it at night and in the morning. How can you get rid of them?Squirrels in attic?
Easy way to get rid of it, and to make sure no other ';friends'; of his come move in. Go to Outdoor world/ dicks Sports or even the hunting/sporting goods section of your local store and get Fox Lure. soak a cotton ball in it and put it thru the hole where it goes in if you can find it. Or just stick it up in the crawl space. They move out fast when they thing a predator is up there. I've use this for years to keep them out of my homeSquirrels in attic?
You need a number 6 spring trap available from a good country store. Bait it with peanut butter and mind your fingers when setting it. This is an instant death fro the squirrel. It is illegal to release it if it is a grey squirrel, so if you use a live cage trap you must shoot it.


It is important that it is killed as they damage cables.
Call the pest control department of your local council, and they will come and sort it out, usually for free.





Generally they use poison - there's no point using any of the humane methods because it's illegal to release them alive.
a harmless way to do it and with no harm to the squirrel is to go to a garden centre and buy a smoke bomb used for greenhouse clearing.
