How do Flying Squirrels Fly?

They don't fly, they just glide from tree to tree. We could glide, too -- if we had a lot of extra skin stretching from our arms to our legs. How do Flying Squirrels Fly?
They really don't fly it is more like gliding and they have extra skin under their arms and those act as wings. How do Flying Squirrels Fly?
they dont actually fly they glide with a small peice of skin between their legs ( like webed feet )
they dont fly. They jump from tree branch to tree branch. They can glide using flaps of skin under their legs. Sort of like a kite.
with their wings that no - one can scientifically see - i know its magic!!!!

they also have to wear a helmet and a jacket but you can't see them either it is really cool and MAGIC!
They have a thin layer of skin stretching from their front paw to their back and when they jump off something the stretch out their paws and glide.

sorta like a kite or a parachute.
