cuz know one wants tha same squirrel runnin around 80 years from know please help me figure this outI know this is a wierd question but it will keep u thinkin do squirrels die of old age? i really need to know?
Yes.

10-25% of the squirrels in the wild reach the old age and die.

In captivity or in the wild squirrels live for 2-3 years only.

When they die they select a cool, shadey spot on ground and just lie there and die. Most of them somehow know that they are diening and go to the selected spot.

I used to keep squirrels as pet as well as have them free in the gardens and observed this many times.

Generally squirrels live on the same tree from generation to generations and it needs a trained eye to notice the small identification marks to separate the family members.

Hence most people think that it is the same squirrel they are seeing year after year.I know this is a wierd question but it will keep u thinkin do squirrels die of old age? i really need to know?
Most squirrels in the wild live a yr or two, in captivity they live 25 yrs.
....

They don't have the same life-span that humans do. Their old age is ten years, approximately, and some do indeed die of just being old.
';Old age'; is not a disease or event. It is part of a life cycle. Live long enough %26amp; things start going bad just like most daily driven old cars and toys.
Yeah they do. And I don't know why you have this question categorized as birds but whatever.
They die of old age but old age for a squirrel is a few years, not 80.
Every animal is bound to die once its old.
Yes
they can live up to like 25 years. Why is this in the bird section?
