Do squirrels live in holes like chipmunks?

Squirrels typically build nests in trees (they look bigger and ';messier'; than birds' nests) or use holes in trees. Some species of ground squirrel do burrow in the ground, however.Do squirrels live in holes like chipmunks?
yesDo squirrels live in holes like chipmunks?
Yes, There are species of ground squirrels who live in burrows like chipmunks. The species Spermophilus tridecemlineatus (the thirteen lined ground squirrel) even has striped and spotted pellage like a chipmunk, but they are larger and have a longer bushier tail.

The common tree squirrels everyone else has mentioned live in trees, but yes, there do exist ground squirrels who live in burrows.
i think so
they build nests in trees
maybe..
some do, but mostly build nests in trees out of leaves, twigs and anything else they find. in the fall or early winter, if you look up , through all the bare trees, you can see the nests all over. Others, also live in ';bird house'; type homes, ...i have one in the back yard, its an actual squirrel house, looks like a birdhouse, yet the holes..;are made a bit differently, ...and size and shape as well.
no. they live in tress.
They live in any wooded areas. Mainly trees, I guess. Yeah.
yes sir squriles and chipmunkks are practically cuzs they both live in holes bu some squirrles live in trees
Not really, they make nests of leaves and grass in the forks of trees. They will den up in hollow trees if a wood pecker has made a hole to the interior. They will make dens in old wood pecker nests. They are a creature of opportunity like most rodents and will move in to any vacated space.
Squirrels build nests in trees these are known as 'Dreys'
they live in your attic
There are many types of squirrels. The chipmunk is one of them. Some live in holes in the ground, some live in nests in trees. The nests in trees are often inside hollow trunks or holes in the limbs, but they do build nests of leaves and sticks in the branches.
Not all squirrels do. In fact, some live in hollow trees or nests while others live on the ground such as the ground squirrel which live in bushy areas. Some also live in the mountains of South America.
no they live inside tree and nest, they don't go underground
i think so...google it....
