Is Sugar Toxic to Squirrels?

I have a 4 month old squirrel that injested nuts with sugar and is now ill. Is sugar toxic to squirrels? Is Sugar Toxic to Squirrels?
Maybe he is alergic to nuts???Is Sugar Toxic to Squirrels?
Sugar isn't very good for people, and a little goes a LONG way with animals, especially smaller ones. He's probably feeling really icky right now, but I think he'll be okay. Just be sure that what you feed him from now on is organic or at least...yeah, organic.

Good luck!
An excessive amount of refined sugar would be toxic. Squirrels do occasionally eat fruit, and the sugar which occurs naturally in fruit does not harm them.
well kill it and eat it!
I really do not think so as they eat a lot of my bird seed and love the cranberries...oh, well, maybe refined sugar?
no suger is not toxic to anything. our bodies run on carbohydrates and suger is a carbohydrate made of carbon hydrogen and oxygen. basic biology. your rodent is sick for some other reason. suger wouldnt hurt it at all
i have no idea sorry maybe you can check on the internet or go to and animal hospital :( well good luck
