Get a dog. A dog will chase the squirrels away and at the same time be a great companion for you. The dog will also notify you of other intruders. Good Luck! How do i rid my garden of squirrels?
Assuming you are in the UK and these are grey squirrels. A cage trap baited with nuts is the best solution. Once you have caught it you must destroy it (shooting with a .22 air rifle is the best solution). You are not legally allowed to release it as it is an illegal immigrant from USA and is killing off the native red squirrels by passing a virus known as squirrel pox.
If you do not want to do this yourself a reputable pest controller will be able to do it for you.How do i rid my garden of squirrels?
I read one time i forget where, but they said squirrels are afraid of sudden, constant movement. So I would try something down the decorations aisle that moves constantly in the wind and that catches the glares of the sunlight. Say a mobil of some type. Also, believe it or not scarecrows still do the old trick. And with it being fall, now is the time to get a Miniature one that stands about a foot or two tall. At any rate happy chasing.
The simple answer is with very great difficulty . I had real problems with them in my previous house as I was surrounded by very large well established trees . They came in the garden and dug up pot plants and generally caused mayhem
You could try getting a pest controller as I think they are considered vermin , they might look cute and can even be fun to watch sometimes but they are a bloody nuisance
Capybara has obviously never had a ';nice'; squirrel tearing up their bird feeders, eating all their bird seed or trying to get into the attic of their home to take up residence. You need to put wire high around your plants and dig down under the soil to make sure the wire is well down into the ground so when the squirrel goes to dig, it will soon give up. Mothballs can work for a short-term deterrant. Any type of hot item can also go into their eyes and cause blindness. I would try barriers before anything else.
From my experience you need to move to Mars to get away from squirrels. You can try feeding them other things to keep them out of your food, or just plant enough for both you and them.
set a trap for them- the only thing is after yu catch them you must take them 5 miles away or they'll find their way back
Put cayenne pepper on your vegetables: Squirrels don't like that at all!
Good luck!
If I had the answer to this I would flle an Intellectual Property Rights protection before answering
let them be. they are nice creatures. how would you like it if the squirrels were planning a plot to rid you?:o)
Grated soap seems to do the trick, just put some around your plants.
Get a doberman pinsher. My Dobermans whole goal in life is to keep squirrels in trees.
shoot them
